How it works

  1. Step 1

    Check your home

We pull your assessment from county records and compare it with similar homes that sold near the date the county used to set values.

  2. Step 2

    Get your appeal packet

If the numbers support an appeal, the $49 packet gives you the comparable sales, a written argument, and the county forms and steps.

  3. Step 3

    File it yourself

You submit the packet to the county. No power of attorney, and you keep every dollar you save.

One flat price. You keep the savings.

Appeal companies that work on contingency usually keep 25 to 35% of your first year's savings. Our packet is $49, whatever you save.

Questions

Do you file the appeal for me?
No. We prepare the packet and walk you through each step, and you submit it to the county. We don't represent anyone at hearings.
Which homes can you check?
Homes, including townhomes and condos, in Mecklenburg County (Charlotte, Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, Matthews, Mint Hill, Pineville) and Iredell County (Mooresville, Statesville, Troutman), North Carolina. More counties are coming.
Why compare with older sales?
North Carolina counties value every home as of one date. An appeal has to show what your home was worth on that date, so we use sales from just before it.
My value is fair, but my bill is still too high. Can you help?
Maybe. Seniors, people with disabilities, disabled veterans and long-time owners on a budget can qualify for county and state relief. Check what you qualify for.
What if my home is fairly assessed?
We'll tell you, and you won't pay anything. Most of the value of a free check is knowing whether an appeal is worth your time.
